The Sri Lanka All Island Grand Writing Competition 2026 is a national initiative organized by ZEMIRA to encourage excellence in article writing and to inspire meaningful conversations rooted in biblical values, critical thinking, and social responsibility. This competition provides a platform for talented writers across Sri Lanka to express their ideas, share their perspectives, and contribute to the intellectual and spiritual development of society.

Official Article Topics
Participants are required to write one (1) original article on one of the following official topics:
This topic invites participants to explore how Christians can faithfully minister during seasons of hardship, persecution, suffering, economic uncertainty, social instability, illness, and personal trials. Articles should demonstrate biblical understanding, practical application, and the role of Christian leadership in bringing hope, healing, compassion, and transformation to individuals and communities.
Suggested areas include:
Biblical examples of ministry during adversity.
Faith, perseverance, and hope in difficult times.
The Church’s role in serving hurting communities.
Christian leadership during national and personal crises.
Practical approaches to compassionate ministry.
Lessons for today’s Church.
Participants are invited to critically examine the present challenges facing Christianity in Sri Lanka while proposing biblical and practical pathways toward spiritual renewal and church revival. Articles should demonstrate sound biblical interpretation, thoughtful analysis, and practical recommendations that encourage a return to Scripture and faithful Christian living.

Causes of the decline of Christianity in Sri Lanka.

Strengthening discipleship and spiritual formation.

Participants may submit only one article.
Articles must address one of the two official topics.
Entries must be original and unpublished.
Plagiarism or unauthorized use of another person’s work will result in immediate disqualification.
AI-generated content submitted as original work is prohibited.
Biblical references and credible academic sources may be used where appropriate.
The judges’ decision shall be final and binding.
